If there were to be an east African story of the century we would
nominate this group of self motivated young activists! Having started
his project by the age of 20, Abby began with only two instruments
and one other friend, now he has taken 12 homeless youth, most
of home had lost their parents to aids, off the streets and has
taught them how to play brass band and do an acrobatic show, they
now have 52 registered members in the community and a 24 piece
band. They get hired for doing shows at various events and turn
the money around for school and food! With six years down Abby
is setting his sights on a larger piece of land to house more homeless
kids and is looking for more instruments to grow his bands. Check

This is a Family run orphanage which is run by ‘The New Hope
Squad’ and their family members. The story behind how this
orphanage began is quite remarkable and the father to the project
has recently passed away shortly after we recorded this video to
help the project raise money and gain support. Once again the New
Hope Squad are pushing the boundaries of Hip Hop musicians as they
continue to operate this orphanage in Kampala.

This is a gym that
has been created by one of our close friends from Kampala. It was
created in Gulu (northern Uganda) out of the desire to provide
a place for the youth in the region to spend their time proactively
and it is doing great work. We are looking forward to helping the
gym expand and grow over the coming years.

This is yet another project in the works happening in a small village
outside of Kampala called ‘Dewe’. The school focuses
on Practical applications of local skills that can be used within
the community. The school also focuses on a very important aspect
of the tropical environment which seems to have been lost to the
local people; Medicinal Plants! The school is developing itself
to become a larger facility and has a great potential to be a cornerstone
for development in the local region and abroad. Check
